Pong Response

Status 0x01, server → client.

status · 0x01 · clientbound (server → client)

The server’s answer to PingRequest. It echoes the client’s timestamp unchanged so the client can compute round-trip latency for the server list ping bars. The connection is closed afterwards.

Sent by the server, read by the client. Listen for it with client.on("PongResponse", (data) => …) on the receiving side.

Fields

Field Type Notes
timestamp Long

Send it

// Server side, echo the PingRequest timestamp unchanged.
client.on("PingRequest", async (data) => {
  await client.sendPacket("PongResponse", {
    timestamp: data.timestamp,
  });
});

Echo the parsed timestamp exactly. The client uses it to calculate round-trip latency and normally closes the status connection afterwards.

Field aliases listed under Notes are accepted as alternative keys when writing.
